What's on.
We meet every two weeks in Ealing, for creative people from across West London. Come whenever you can, on your own or with a friend.
What happens when you walk in.
Coming on your own for the first time? Here's exactly how the evening works, so there are no surprises.
- Arrive any time from 7pmThere's no set start. Drop in whenever it suits you, even if it's later on.
- Look for the gold starOur table has a Common Ground card with the gold star on it. If you can't spot it, just ask at the bar.
- Say hello to the hostChris will welcome you and introduce you to a couple of people, so you're never standing on your own.
- Chat, or just listenNo need to buy a drink, talk about your work or bring anything to show. Alcohol-free is just as welcome.
- Leave whenever you likeStay for twenty minutes or the whole evening. No one minds either way.

Nervous about coming? Tick "Look out for me" when you join the guest list, or send us a message, and someone will greet you at the door.
Every two weeks. Come when you can.
We kick off with an informal drink, then meet every fortnight on a midweek evening. There's no commitment: come whenever it suits you, and you'll always find friendly faces.

A drink in a bar in Ealing
Same night, same place. Drop in, catch up, meet someone new.
Do-something session
It rotates between:
- Skills swaps led by members
- Exhibitions, gigs and shows together
- Small projects made as a group
Shaped by you
What we do depends on what members are into. Suggest a skill to share, a project to start, or an exhibition or gig to go to together.
Getting there, easily.
We'll publish the exact venue as soon as it's booked. Here's what you can count on.
Central Ealing
A short walk from Ealing Broadway station, on the Elizabeth, Central and District lines, so it's easy to reach from across West London.
Step-free access
We choose venues with step-free access and an accessible toilet wherever we can, and list the details here.
Quiet corners
Somewhere you can hear each other, with good alcohol-free drinks and a quieter space if you need a breather.
18 and over
Most meet-ups are in bars, so Common Ground is for adults aged 18 and over.
